Mothers' Milk Bank of Tennessee

Mother's Milk Bank of Tennessee needs your support to get our milk bank off the ground. While seemingly such an easy resource to share with your baby, breast milk can be extremely difficult for many women to produce due to a variety of their own medical conditions. For fragile premature infants, breast milk is life saving and can prevent a host of devastating infections. When mom's milk is unavailable, donor breast milk is the only way premature infants can receive this vital form of nutrition. However, donor breast milk supply is limited by the number of operational milk banks across this country. Despite having one of the highest rates of preterm birth, Tennessee does not have its own bank and is dependent on the supply of other regional milk banks. This limits how much milk we can obtain for our local population and restricts use to only the most vulnerable infants. Make a donation to Mother's Milk Bank of Tennessee and support our efforts to get our Tennessee milk bank off the groun. Establishing a milk bank here in our state will increase breast milk supply so that all at risk infants in our state can receive this valuable resource.
