Mom of 5: help Kelley beat cancer

My name is Lynnea. I am a friend of Kelley Goodwin. Kelley & her husband, William Goodwin, are the parents of 5 beautiful girls (one set of twins, one set of triplets!), all born via surrogacy; Kelley is unable to bear children due to the multiple surgeries & treatments she endured while beating cancer twice. She's a fighter & has always come out on top with a smile on her face & joy in her heart for each & every day she gets to spend with her precious family. She was feeling a bit "off" recently, and on a terrifying hunch, called her oncologist. As she reported: "The CT scan report was posted to MyChart finally - worse than I thought it would be...  I am thinking this may be it for me :(  I am not having a good day today...  I have at least 5 tumors touching multiple organs and one is for sure coming from a kidney...  So I will probably lose that kidney or at least part of it...  Please pray my CT scan today of my lungs is clear - if it has spread there - it's game over for me." We have since learned as of 05/08/2018 that there are now two nodes in her lungs.  These showed up in just a few months - her chest X-Ray in March was clear. Kelley is one of the strongest women I know; she has been living on miracles since she was born.  She had heart surgery when she was a small child for a congenital defect and has had several procedures over the years to combat it. When she was 12 she was diagnosed with a rare type of leukemia, typically only seen in adults. A bone-marrow transplant from a complete stranger saved her life. She & William found a surrogate match who was able to help them bring their twins into their family in 2014, along with her second round cancer.  She found out she had Uterine Leiomyosarcoma just days after implanting the two embryos into their first surrogate. Luckily, it was at an early stage and a full hysterectomy solved that problem. As Kelley said at the time, "It's not like I'm getting any use out of it!" In 2017 God blessed Kelley & her family with triplets! Also via surrogate & perfect in every way.  Now a diagnosis is pending on this third round of cancer...this page will be updated when a diagnosis and plan of action is made. I am starting this GoFundMe for my friend because she's ready to fight again! The stakes are much higher now that she's mother to all her wonderful daughters. And if, as is possible, this round with cancer claims her life, her family also faces the daunting task of trying to fill the massive void that will be left if/when this amazing woman passes. I felt the need to share a bit of her story with you as it seems an injustice for this smart, hilarious, loving warrior of a woman to not be known more fully by others who may be touched or inspired by her story. Please help my friend & her family. Every penny will go towards treatment & assistance for the family as Kelley faces the nausea, fatigue, pain, & other horrific symptoms from both the cancer itself, as well as the procedures & medications.
