Mother in law stabbed by stranger for no reason

My name is Dan I am trying to help my mother in law who was stabbed on her way to the store today by North hill mall in Calgary. She was attacked for no reason the guy just came up and stabbed her 3 times and ran away. Now she is scared to go home  Scared to walk alone  This one senseless act has made it so this wo. An cannot close her eyes without re living it. 
And for what reason she wasn't robbed just stabbed and left for dead  

I am just trying to get her some money so she can move to a safer place. Or at least get some help. Not to mention for no reason. At all her life has changed  She can't work she can't leave her house for a while. 

She was only trying to go to the store to get milk and now her life forever changed  .
She's a mother a grandmother . She is a good person but the fact is now she feels unsafe and again absolutely no fault of her own except for living here in Calgary.

She needs to move where there is  less sketchy people around for her own state of mind
