Morgan's Fight Club

The day before New Years' Eve, after a family Christmas get together, my little sister Morgan had an unexpected Grand Mal Seizure. She was rushed by ambulance to the hospital and the doctors had a daunting discovery. A CT scan of her brain showed that Morgan has a tumor in the right front temporal lobe of her brain about the size of a golf ball. In addition to the nodular tumor there is also an abnormal area that swoops over to the left side of her brain. The surgeons wanted to operate sooner rather than later given the size and location of the tumor. 
This crushing news comes just over a month after my daughter, Evie, lost her battle with cancer on her fourth birthday. To say we are devastated is an understatement. It all seems like a torturous nightmare we want to wake up from. 
The surgeons operated on the tumor attempting to remove as much as possible from Morgan's brain. The doctors were able to remove most of the tumor, but felt it was too risky to attack the spot that crosses over to the left side. 
Unfortunately, later testing showed the tumor to be "Oligodendroglioma", a type of brain cancer. At the age of 23 when Morgan should be planning her wedding with her fiancé, Mark, she will be planning for future treatment. 
We know this touch journey all too well, and Morgan's is just beginning. As she goes through treatment she will be unable to work and the medical bills will be piling up. All donations will go towards paying bills and coping with the medical costs of the Ugly "C".  We know how strong of a support system we have had with my Evie Mae and now will with Morgan Mae! I know Morgan has one heck of a Fight Club behind her the entire way! You got this Morgie!
