Chapter 0900, Military Order of the Purple Heart, Lubbock, Texas, is beginning its fundraising for the construction of the "Monument to Courage" to remember our heroes: Gold Star Families, Medal of Honor and Purple Heart recipients in the South Plains, Lubbock, Midland and Odessa, and all cities in this region of Texas. The Monument will be constructed in Lubbock Texas for the rememberance of those above who served in our military and sacrificed so much for our nation. Groundbreaking for construction is targeted for 11 November, 2018, the 100th anniversary of the signing the armistice that ended WWI.
