Hi- My name is Sean Seaton and my partner Stacy and I have both called Laramie, Wyoming home for 40 plus years (that's over 80 together!) and have roots in the community with great friends and family. Those local to Laramie are used to seeing us at the Thursday Undine Park and Downtown Friday farmers markets. Howdy Ft, Collins, Cheyenne and Scottsbluff!
We started Monkey Snacks in July of 2013. As entrepreneurs we are looking to live better lives by sharing our healthy snacks with the world and have more time to invest in our business of family, friends and community.
We work from a small commercial kitchen (which was Laramie's one and only Skate Ranch until some years ago when it was turned into daycare and is now the small Skyline Business Center). We enjoy this clean, tidy space where we have the opportunity to dehydrate! Even if being in a place where we raced around in circles endlessly as children on roller skates! Strange fate!
Currently, in Laramie, you can find us retail at the Butcher Block, Big Hollow Food Co-Op, The Iron Monkey and Cloud 9 (yogurt and Grateful Granola: mighty fine!) We do service local area farmers markets and have a small base of internet sales. Our Monkey Snacks Fans have great taste and are very loyal!

Interest in Monkey Snacks is beginning to surge both in the USA and internationally! Please see our March 25, 2016 Go Fund Me Update.
Between kitchen rent, equipment breakage, packaging and ingredients, we need some helpful funds to keep growing what we have built. (We've heard, this is where a lot of new businesses fail, when they are just getting a foothold.)

Monkey Snacks granola is designed, hand-crafted and "cooked" to literally crunch and melt in your mouth.
Through an intentional taste layering process, Organic Rolled Oats are coated with the best Organic
Coconut Oil, tossed with Organic Cinnamon and Pink Himalayan Sea Salt, and left to rest so base note flavors perfectly meld. Then top note, golden Cheyenne Wyoming Honey, is gently stirred in, hand-turned over and over, again and again so not one oat is missed!
And that's it! Well except for our delightfully added ingredients, all of which are listed below.
Oddly enough, every ingredient listed can be easily identified ... they're even pronounceable!

Created with the expertise of Chef Rev in response to an overwhelming disappointment in most spice rubs currently on the market. The main complaints: dirty, dusty, dry and chemical tastes. Sadly this is true of many mass produced, low quality a questionably sourced store bought seasonings, rubs and spices.
Monkey Snacks is proud to say we use no fillers or taste bud wackers such as unessesary and processed salts like nitates and MSG. We believe the taste buds of people are naturally alive to sensational flavors nature has made available to us.
We're also dedicated to using the highest quality selection of herbs available, using suppliers who care about taste and quality, including locally grown herbs from the markets we attend, as well as those found at well loved local Laramie establishments, Big Hollow Co-Op and The Herb House. To further enhance the all important taste experience, we revel in using fresh and organic ingredients when possible.
But Chef Rev's main endeavor is to combat the surprisingly prevalent condition in our culture that Monkey Snacks is currently calling "Spice Fear". From our markets this year we learned a lot from you, including sensing the trepidation many of you feel in front of food and faced with creating something "good". Lack of knowledge with spices and thinking cooking needs to be complicated and fancy is a main stopping point for many. But with the limiting and often disappointing options of boxed, frozen or eat out foods, Monkey Snacks wants everybody to know how simple it is!

Information is now being revealed that food is best when less messed with. WHO KNEW?! So our philosophy is eat simple and tasty! That's it. Whew!
