Mona's brain/lung cancer fund

Mona Subotin Lemley is a 56 year old, born and raised Grand Forks woman,  a mother, grandmother, sister and friend to many, she is the loving partner of Mike Skrotzki. Mona has been fighting lung cancer for 2 yrs and in November the cancer spread to both sides of her brain, radiation was unsuccessful and we are all heartbroken to have received the news that Mona was given 6 months or less to live. Mona and her partner live on a meager CPP disabilities and unlike Provincial disability there are no extended health benefits for medicine, optical, dental , travel or accommodations. All of their small savings have been depleted and they are struggling to make their monthly payments. Mona's wish is to have one last special Christmas with her family. Our wish for our beautiful friend is that she can have this christmas without the financial stress of medical bills and monthly bills. Mona spent 22 years caring for elderly folks at Hardy View Lodge and Boundary Lodge, please help us care for Mona so she can enjoy a peaceful stress free existence until she leaves us.
