Modoc Heritage Foundation

Modoc Heritage Foundation's vision is to preserve the culture and heritage of Modoc County for the enjoyment of future generations. In order to do that we are seeking to obtain resources and  partnerships to preserve and maintain our wonderful and unique culture. 

One wonderful part of our heritage is the Modoc District Fair.  

Modoc District Fair began in 1920 and has been an important event in our communities throughout the years. Families come for the food, fun and entertainment; adults and children enter their livestock, produce and flowers, baked goods, canned items, crafted items and artwork all hoping to win that coveted Blue Ribbon.

In 2012 California District Fairs lost a big chunk of their State Funding. This is requiring them to start looking for other ways to keep their Fairs operational. Modoc District Fair is really feeling the pinch and we need your help to keep our Fair alive and thriving, not only for us but also for future generations.
