Meet Jaequan a 13- year old Entrepreneur
Why are we raising money?
Jaequan Faulkner is a 13 year old entrepreneur who runs his own hotdog business off of:
1510 Penn Ave North Minneapolis, MN.
Jaequan works from 11am-9pm everyday selling hot dogs at his stand. He has a combo special that can’t be beat! For just $3 you can get a hotdog ( beef or turkey), your choice of chips, and also a soda! His hot dogs are delicious and his customer service is outstanding.
Recently, Jaequan went viral and his story caught the attention of not only the Minnesota community but the world at large. Jaequan has set the standards for excellence high, and has the full support of the police department and many Minnesota communities!
With his permission, and, the permission of his family, we are coming together to raise awareness and give Jaequan an opportunity to continue growing his business. We are raising funds so he can turn his hotdog stand into a mobile hotdog stand. Other expenses would include: purchasing his his business license, business cards, and designing his logo.
Not only is Jaequan the proud owner of his own company that he simply named ‘Old Fashioned Hot Dogs,’ but Jaequan’s reason for running his business touches home.
Jaequan told us, and his uncle, that he had been suffering from depression and by him creating this business he was able to find something positive to focus on that helps keep him going daily. He also stated that a percentage of his proceeds will be donated toward a charity of his choosing for a program that helps individuals fight against depression. He also stated that if the GoFundMe funds exceed $5,000 the remaining amount will be put in place for his college fund.
Jaequan truly demonstrates that age is just a number, and he is so excited to hear that he is bringing awareness to the community. Jaequan wants the world to see him, and other men and women of color, as an equal asset and value to this world. He wants people to know that his people are doing great things in, and for, the community.
This is more than just a hot dog stand. This is the future, this is the union of bringing folks together and this is an opportunity for you to make a huge difference for Jaequan and his dreams.
Our goal is raise $5,000 and with us exceeding that number we will boost the success for this young entrepreneur!
