Mobile Clinics-School Construction

$9,000 goal

Campaign created 5 months ago
Celebration United Methodist Church is sending a team of adults and youth to the island of LaGonave located on Haiti. Half of our group will be providing medical care to individuals and families who would otherwise not have access to healthcare. Over the course of a week our mobile clinic will travel to remote locations in order to provide healthcare for 1000 people. There are only two medical facilities for the entire 60,000 people living on LaGonave. Unfortunately it can take up to a day by motorcycle to reach either facility.

The rest of our group will be building the second story of the Rob Marchand Education Center which provides schooling for children in 1st through 4th grade. The Rob Marchand Education Center opened on September 10, 2018 with 113 children. This second level will provide classes for grades 5th - 8th and a library.
