The DAISY Foundation Vet Fund

$1,915 of $5,000 goal

We are on the verge of being unable to help anymore animals because of such high vet bills and because of what happenens when people abuse our kindness and generousity animals do not deserve to suffer and it is time to stop it.
Heather Anderson has been the voice for many animals in and around Alberta. She has been fighting the Laws in Canada for many years now. She has a big heart and took a puppy in after someone surrendered her to us not only was the puppy too young at 4 weeks old to be taken from its mother during the night before the puppy was surrendered the puppy got injured. when the puppy came to heather it was in dire need for vet care which cost the Daisy foundation $2000 in vet bills. then after a week the person that surrendered the puppy made up a lie to police saying that we were only supposed to help fix the puppy and wanted the puppy back. Now heather would not give puppy back because not only was it too young but three vets said that the injuries were suspicious and we think the leg injury was not an accident. so because the person got someone to write a reciept saying she bought the dog for $1 and refused to sign our papers when dropping off puppy. Heather has been charged with theft for saving the puppy. We are asking for help with the legal fees because Heather would not send this puppy back to an abusive home and the dog requires many more surgeries on the leg and the woman who surrendered her barely had a roof over her head in her words. Heather has already put every penny she has into saving the puppy and our other ongoing vet bills for other rescued animals in our care. Please help heather and if you would like more information on us please visit our facebook page or website at http://daisyfoundation.ca/daisy/  or email daisy@daisyfoundation.ca
We need funds desperately to bring the vet bill to date and help more animals.

we are still accepting donations but we are proud to say that hope is doing awesome in her new home and loving life. We are still rescuing and going to many court cases so any funds donated now goes to our ongoing vet bill and the rest of the legal bill. we always thank everyone and encourage all to recue and adopt before shopping and to be aware that animal abuse is also a link to Abuse on children and adults. Have a great day!

Heather has been very thank full for everyone's help she won her case in court. but far too often animals are being abused and abandoned please don't shop please adopt because so many animals are ending up in ditches and dumping grounds. all shelters that rescue are maxed out and need help. we as well need lots more help with vet bills . we can only dream of being able to help everyone who comes to us for help but our prayers are not always answered. even though the case is over i am still raising as much funds as possible to bring Daisy foundation back to a clean vet bill and helping people again. please help anyway possible with donations through gofundme in which i have already been able to give lots to vet bill and lawyer so as moving on if anyone can start fundraisers through casual days at work or even saving bottles and cans in which you can drop off at Heathers in Calgary or my home in Didsbury please text 587-435-3024 for more information on drop off points for donations of any kind from recyclables to pet foods especially cat food and money can also be e-transfered directly to Heather daisybillc373@hotmail.com and maybe for the people that donate that we've helped before you can add a word or two of thanks and how we helped your situation Heather would love to see pictures as well. Thanks to everyone for your support.

What I cannot fathom and will never accept is how these so called "authorities" seem to be so brain dead when it comes to common sense regarding obvious ANIMAL ABUSE. Not only have they charged the WRONG person in this case, when the abusive OWNER of the puppy has not even been investigated by the SPCA nor charged by the police!!! Now Heather's disability pension is cut in half? How can the gov't which is supposed to have a safety net for those who suffer health challenges, commit further abuse against a good person like Heather doing community volunteer work, running the DAISY charity which is non profit??? Duh. The mind boggles.... I hope that many more people will spread the word everywhere about this grave injustice and donate whatever they can to help pay off these vet bills along with legal bills to help defend her against this bogus charge. In the meantime, where can we email our protest on all of the above atrocities and illegal harassment being committed against Heather?

I have known Heather McClure Anderson for several years. I always thought she was a little extreme on saving the animals. I remember the injured bird (wild) she took home and would not let it leave until it had totally healed (injured wing). I was there when she set the bird free and it flew like no tomorrow. As our friendship grew I realized why she wanted to save the animals. DAISY was a true story and the children that killed this poor dog were young. We are both survivors of domestic abuse and it is proven that if a child harms an animal it could grow to be larger things like harming there own parents, spouses, children, etc. Heather is on a very good mission and will never turn any animal away as this is her mission in life. If we can start teaching children at a young age to be kind to any animal, plant, or human then I believe that our world would definitely be a better place for anyone or anything. Now for the individual that has charged Heather she has resurfaced from our past lives. She knew us from when we were healing from our domestic abuse and we were learning and getting stronger. KC is all I will reference. She always wanted to get even with everyone that had ever crossed her path and this is what happens when old relationships collide years later. KC will make nothing of her life as she is so bitter and only wants to get what she feels is owed to her in life. She will never amount to anything as she is so evil and vandictive. Heather has moved past all of this old stuff and is doing something very well worth it. It really shows who has a heart and who has a whole in their heart. I hope Heather does not go to jail as she is protecting the animals and in the long wrong going to help the world out. Please donate anything you can. She has worked for years with the animals and used her money to save these animals. PLEASE DONATE TODAY anything will HELP!!!!!

Shame, shame shame on the person who made these false accusations, I guess in an attempt to cover their butt. Thank God Heather did the right thing in getting this poor pup the help it needed. If this person had any heart or conscious, they would have the charges dropped, what a sin.
