“All of this could not happen without the dedicated and hardworking staff they are truly the best!” – JVSF Parent

“I have spent 8 summers with JVSF and each summer has been better than the last. This summer has been one of the best!” – JVSF Attendee

Please donate to support kids attending Summer Fun this year. It costs $6,000 per person and it’s so important to our families and participants who look forward to it each year. We’ll make every dollar count to create an experience our participants won’t forget. Every child should have the opportunity to have summer fun like their peers.

History
The Jimmy Vejar Summer Fun Program is dedicated to the memory of Jimmy Vejar, son of middleweight boxing contender Chico and his wife Caryl, who died at the age of three as a result of complications from cerebral palsy. Through a memorial event just after his death in 1962, the Jimmy Vejar Fund provided the foundation for the creation of the Summer Program. Since then, Cerebral Palsy of Westchester has held to the vision of providing an innovative program to allow children to participate in a variety of summer fun activities regardless of the level of their abilities.
