Aboriginal Youth Basketball Team

I am a current Basketball player at St. Thomas University. I just completed my second season and let me tell you that so far playing ball for my school has been a blast. As an Aboriginal, we all know statistically speaking, us Aboriginal are at a disadvantage and set for failure. I know from experience however, sports has helped me through this adversity in life. I am using basketball as an instrument for an education. I want to share this experience with the youth. I see some of our youth fall into this cycle of drugs and alcohol. Frankly, it sucks to see such great potential go to waste. That is why I am trying to give back to my community by encouraging our youth to get more active. We have great talent in our community and the potential for success is there. Sometimes our youth just needs guidance and hopefully I am someone who can provide that.
