Please help with our vet and food bills

Please see our very popular facebook page We are a self-funded and independent group of experienced cat-lovers rescuing and finding loving 5-star loving homes for local cats and kittens. We are based in South Devon (South Hams and Teignbridge area) and have been in operation since the beginning of June 2014.  Respected by local vets and with a large following of supporters, we have become successful in rescuing and finding 5* loving homes for about a  hundred Mitzi Kitties a year.  We will move mountains to help a puss cat in need and rarely say no.  As the health and welfare of Mitzi's kitties come first so our vet bills can be enormous.  For example: we are currently helping Misty who has had a difficult labour. Unfortunately her kind owner was unable to afford the cost of the operation needed to save her life and the life of her kittens.  Rather than being put to sleep, she has now been signed over to our care and is making great progress at Dartvale vet practice.  In March we saved the life of Beatrix who came  to us (from a hedgerow) with her young kittens.  She was blind in one eye and on further investigation a tumour was found.  We were able to raise funds for an eye operation to remove the tumour.  She recovered fantastically and has recently gone to a very loving home.  

As a self-funded group we are reliant on the generosity of members of the group, our loyal supporters and cat lovers like yourself.  ALL funds received will go to the cats.

We are a highly motivated group. We have a fabulous team of experienced foster Mums and Dads.  Once in our care Mitzi’s kitties receive lots of loving five-star care. We are delighted to have recently welcomed two highly skilled vet nurses - a great asset for cats needing medical treatment or post-op care, or pregnant kitties, orphans and nursing mums. Our foster mums and dads have great compassion and sensitivity, enabling them to work wonders with a distressed puss cat transforming him or her into a confident, trusting and loving kitty. Some of Mitzi’s shyer move on to ‘Mitzi’s Finishing/Charm School’ for a bit of extra pampering where they learn about the comforts of domestic life. With all the one-on-one attention they receive we really get to know a puss cat - thus helping us to find the right five star loving home for the right kitty.
