On June 3rd, just after 9:30 our son Mitch suffered a severe traumatic brain injury walking to work on the railroad tracks near our home. He was immediately rushed to University of Louisville Hospital where a neurosurgeon perfumed an emergency life saving operation on him. When Mitch got out of surgery we were told he may or may not live. Mitch then spent twelve days in ICU and then a few days in PCU before being moved to Frazier Rehab Institute on June 16th. Since that time Mitch has made tremendous progress in his daily therapy sessions of OT, PT and ST. He will spend 4-8 weeks in Frazier to relearn everything from simple tasks such as swallowing and then to walking and talking and being Mitch again. His Frazier Rehab team lead by his primary doctor have given us hope for Mitch’s future but we presently do not have a prognosis. We are in awe of Mitch’s will and determination and his desire to get better.

Sincerely,
Moe, Sara, Matt, Mason, and Annie
