Miss Teenage Canada Hopeful!

My name is Shayna, I am 18 years young and as of January 26, 2015, I have been awarded the title of Miss Teenage Durham!  With this unbelievable oppourtunity I will compete in Toronto in early August of 2015 to potentially become Miss Teenage Canada! I have never competed in a pageant, and I couldn't believe that I was even considered to become a delegate. The entry fee for the competition is quite expensive, approximately $3700 and I need your help to get me there :) $300 would be used to buy pageant dresses, photographer fees, and other pageant related things. The last $1500 is to give to the Free the Children charity as part of the entry requirements ** tax reciepts are available for specific donations over $10! Just comment that it is for FTC **I just graduated high school with high honors, and love to play soccer (Mid-field and striker <3), run track, be outside, tell bad jokes, read, and take pictures.My platform is to advocate the importance of travel, as I believe only through experiencing different cultures first hand can we be truly humble and appreciate the immense world we live in.
