The Miss Rodeo Nevada Association is asking for donations to help ensure the continued success of the Miss Rodeo Nevada Program, a 59 year old tradition.
Rich in history and legacy, the Miss Rodeo Nevada Program provides young woman with an opportunity to build strong foundations in leadership through educating others about the sport of Professional Rodeo, our great state’s agriculture, and the importance of our western heritage. The Miss Rodeo Nevada Association holds an annual Pageant where young women compete in several categories – horsemanship, public speaking, interviews, and written exams – for the title of Miss Rodeo Nevada. The knowledge and skills acquired from their participation helps build confidence, encourages success and continues to be useful throughout their lives.
While the road to becoming Miss Rodeo Nevada can be difficult and costly, contestants gain a vast amount of knowledge and experience immense personal growth throughout the process. Young women competing for the coveted title must be leaders, positive role models, and accomplished horsewomen. Additionally, they are expected to be well-versed in the rules and history of rodeo, knowledgeable about the State of Nevada and its agricultural communities and familiar with local and current events.
Your generosity will enable the Miss Rodeo Nevada Association to host a Pageant, offer scholarships to Pageant contestants, and offset the newly crowned Miss Rodeo Nevada’s travel expenses. Donations will not only be an investment in the futures of young women but they will indirectly support the sport of Professional Rodeo, agriculture, and the western way of life within the state of Nevada.
