Mission: Direct Aid to Puerto Rico

In 2018 reports are coming out that many areas in Puerto Rico, like Yabucoa, are still living in extreme poverty due to the natural disasters there in 2017. It is also reported that supplies from some relief organizations are not reaching the desired areas due to lack of shipping funds and rat infestation. Our process bypasses those issues. The funds raised will get us to Puerto Rico where we will purchase supplies available in Puerto Rico for Puerto Ricans. By doing so it supports the rebuilding of their economy as well as getting those items to the people in most need.

The goal is to raise enough funds to get my son and I to Puerto Rico for a few days in the beginning of April 2018 where we can directly assist mission members with purchasing products like food, clean water, medical, and survival supplies to get to the Puerto Ricans in need. My son has assisted me in servicing the poor in the Detroit region for the last 5 years. He has learned how to put care into action near home. Now it is time for him to learn how to do it anywhere in the world. We need your support to accomplish this goal. Please consider donating for this mission. Together we can make a difference!

Where the idea spawned. I have art in some Detroit airbnb's. One of the airbnb owners, Jerry Grenda, mentioned to me that he was going to Puerto Rico in March 2018 to help with a business partners airbnb there. I asked Jerry if I could possibly create some custom art for the Puerto Rican airbnb and then wondered if I could to find a way to help those still suffering from the devastation of 2017. Jerry assisted me with some accommodations in Puerto Rico as well as a mission contact there. And now I just need to get there and get the supplies into the hands of the people in need.

My son and I have been providing supplies directly to poor and homeless people on the street of Detroit for over 5 years with money raised from my art sales and supplies from Detroit's chapter of Burners Without Borders that I volunteer for annually.

My name is B.P. LeGault. I am a humanitarian, musician, painter, and photographer from Royal Oak, Michigan. Photos from this mission will be posted at www.b-bomb-photography.com after our visit in April 2018.
