Missing in America is an organization that has coordinated nationwide searches for missing and adults and children, since 2016. Over the past 11 years, we have worked on over 600 missing person cases. Currently, we have almost 300 active cases. Our organization has over 7000 facebook members who actively participate in sharing missing person flyers, videos and othe marketing tools. We work closely with police enforcement, search & rescue and search & rescue as well as other missing person organizations.
Nancy of Missing in America reached out to me and offered information to help find my daughter.
On May 5th, my daughter was reported as missing by her peers at Columbia University. This was a traumatic experience. I never thought I would be a parent of a missing case. I am committed to helping Nancy Schaeffer and Missing in America recover there missing loved one.
Most missing cases typically do not end well. Most missing adults and children are found dead by their relatives, which is a horrifying experience. Given my personal experience, I have a better appreciation for community support to find missing persons. Nancy works countless hours to find missing loved ones and reconstruct unidentified individuals nationwide at no cost to families. She will work countless hours to help reunite families or save families from having to find their loved ones. Families should not have to deal with the trauma as well as the major expenses. That's why organizations like Missing in America are needed. This gofundme is setup to help support crowdfunding necessary to find their missing loved ones.
It cost thousands of dollars and hundreds of person hours to recover a missing loved one. Nancy of Missing in America could easily charge thousands for her work of recovering missing persons. Nancy continues to help the families of Mireya (1 yr old abducted by non-custodial parent), Tromaine Mackall (an African-American man whose girlfriend claimed he went wondering off after a party) and Valerie Joy Tieman (a 34 year old woman who was recently reported missing on August 28th) . Given all Nancy has done throughout the years, she does not deserves the support of the community and the families she serves.
I will continue to support Nancy and 'Missing in America' as a way to pay it forward for her and many others reaching out to me regarding my missing daughter. I will also serve as an advocate for families whose loved ones go missing. Often we are detached when someone is missing but our missing is to breathe life into missing person cases to increase chances of reuniting families.
