Miss Black and Gold Pageant 2019
My name is Lauren Chapman, a freshman psychology major from Frisco, Texas. This year I have the opportunity to compete in the Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc., Pi Omicron Chapter scholarship pageant for the title of Miss Black and Gold. I was selected for Miss Black and Gold with the intention of leaving a legacy while inspiring young ladies in my community. As a founder of Healing Hearts, I will continue to implement my platform of Mental Health and self worth/love which focuses on caring for the youth and young adults to make a difference in our black community. I plan to carry out multiple programs & events that encourage and educate young girls to cherish and appreciate their beauty while also keeping in mind the importance of mental health in our community.
A portion of the pageant requires me to raise money. The money raised will go towards the pageant scholarship fund, the overall production for the pageant itself, and a business advertisement to be placed in the pageant program. I have until January 6th to accomplish this goal and every contribution
will be very appreciated!
With the help of the potent Pi Omicron chapter, being crowned Miss Black and Gold will allow me to support the Alpha Phi Alpha service initiatives, bring my platform to life, and help my community.
Thank you in advance for your support!
