Miriam Barquero Memorial Fund

My dear aunt Miriam passed away yesterday after her 5 year long battle with cancer. Miriam was a loving mother, sister, aunt, and friend who opened her heart and home to anyone she encountered. Miriam is survived by her husband and four children who cherished and will continue my aunt's legacy of loving unconditionally.

Fifteen days ago my aunt suffered a brain hemorrhage, and although she fought bravely she was unable to recover. She was constantly surrounded by visiting friends in the hospital showing how many people's lives she touched. As you can imagine our entire family is heart broken, but we are asking that you please donate to ensure she receives the memorial services that she deserves this upcoming week.

My aunt's battle with cancer left her unable to work, unable to go out, and ultimately unable to see her children grow up. However through it all she maintained a strong and fierce spirit.  While visiting Miriam you could count on hearing her laugh, seeing her beautiful smile, and sometimes regañando my uncle to make sure that the kids were eating the right foods. After visiting you somehow left feeling as if she had consoled you.  

Miriam was a beacon of love, light and support for anyone she met and encountered. Now I am asking that we return the love and support so that those nearest her do not have to burden the high costs and bills associated with memorial services alone. All donations will go directly to my uncle and her children, and her loving legacy will continue through us all.
