Miracles for Mandy

Mandy Bowen is a loving, caring, mother, daughter, aunt, niece, friend, sister, and all around an amazing person who has a heart of gold and would do anything for anyone.  Sept. 2, 2017 was the day Mandy’s life changed.  She was diagnosed with stage III Triple Negative Breast Cancer.  TNBC is an aggressive form of cancer.  Here is the latest update from Mandy.  (This was taken from her Facebook support group) “Haven't updated in a while. Well, you all know I've been staged to a 4. Was told to prepare myself for the worse if we can't get anything under control which it's not. Nothing still is not working. The skin mets just keeps spreading. There still is hope as they keep coming out with trials etc. Oncologist is looking into something new that may be coming out in a few weeks. As of now, just staying on chemo is keeping me going. Although it's been making me very sick where I just can't work hardly at all and you all know how much I take pride in my job. I've been having bad groin pain for almost a week where I've been using a walker to get around thanks to Becky Schrock for helping me out on that. I had chemo today and Dr examined groin area. She feels no lumps or bumps so that's good. I go in Tuesday to get it xrayed. I also am signing up for disability Monday. I have zero income sitting at home being sick and I'm running low on funds. I'm trying to get a go fund me typed up, just get depressed typing it up and my eyes hurt from all this damn chemo. Once I get that up and running I'm high tailing my ass to Chicago or Mayo clinic. There has to be something to save my life. I'm already feeling blah from today's chemo because my white blood cel count was a little low but they want to keep chemo rolling. I haven't worked one day this week due to this stupid hip/groin. Not sure if I can even work the rest of the week unless this eases up. I get really bad hot/cold sweats where I'm changing my pjs 3-4 times through out the night from sweat. Low grade fevers every other day. Anyways, I wanted to update everyone. Please keep prayers coming. I'm happy I was here to spend Emma's Birthday with her. I ask myself is this my last one with her?! Breaks my damn heart. Cancer fucking sucks and I'm pissed off at life for this happening to me. Why not give this shit to murderers, rapist, drug dealers, thugs, etc.....The bad people. Not me. Please keep me in your thoughts as some new drug will save me. At least prolong my life. Thank you to everyone. you cancer!!” Recently, Mandy was given the news that she now has a tumor on her liver and her hip, and she has started a new treatment.  Mandy is now not working, but has just been approved for disability, but will not cover household needs, bills, medical bills, and anything else Mandy may need assistance with or want for herself or Emma is where the funds will be going.  Let’s come together as a community and help this momma out.  Mandy thanks each and everyone of you from the bottom of her heart for all the love, support and prayers.
