Here is Madilynn's story and why we are raising money for her... ❤

At 31 weeks pregnant (Labor day weekend, Sept. 2015) we were told our precious baby girl had "something wrong" with her brain. I was transferred to a Pittsburgh Hospital where I spent the longest week of my life. They told us she encountered 2 bleeds in her head between weeks 24 and 31. At that point, all the doctors (maternal fetal medicine, NICU, and pediatric neurology) didnt know what was going on and all they could do is bloodwork on my husband and I. After I was discharged from the hospital, I had ultrasounds every week. At week 35, we had a follow up with Pittsburgh maternal fetal medicine Dr. and this is when we found out all that has happened. The bloodwork told us she had NAIT Syndrome. (This syndrome is so rare that we were this hospital's second case of it, and the first case the baby didnt survive) This is where my platelets were attacking Josh's platelets that we each gave her which then caused her 2 brain bleeds. We were told IF she survives birth, her outcome was basically nothing. They told us our sweet baby girl would have a 50/50 chance of surviving my scheduled c-section. And if she did survived, she would be at Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh for months. On, October 21, 2015 @ 11:30am our Madilynn was born and SHE WAS ALIVE! God is good! At 5:30pm she was transferred to Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh. We were loving life at this point but not as much loving life 12 DAYS later when we were bringing her home!

Fast forward to a little over 3 years later....she's had 3 major surgeries, more than a handful of hospital admissions, and more tests than you can imagine. She has beat so many obstacles that have came in her way! Oh, and for all the Dr's that said she'd probably be nothing...she is currently enrolled in special needs PRESCHOOL!

This girl is our MIRACLE and a Princess Warrior!

So the reason for raising money for Madilynn.....

Last year she was approved for a once in a lifetime wish from a wish organization. At that time, Madilynn's wish was to have her own bathroom that she would be able to take a relaxing shower and a space that she could maneuver around in. That organization DENIED her of that wish (and 5 other wishes as well). So right now, she is being crammed into our main bathroom for hygiene and to shower. The money raised will 100% go towards the bathroom she needs!

Madilynn thanks everyone who donates
