CAT MILO - Abuse Injury to Recover

3RD SURGERY NEEDED TO FIX MILO!!! *we increased the campaign goal to reflect the last surgery and final recovery process*
Milo came home Sunday (9/18), limping and disoriented, through the backyard fence after being gone for 4 days. The entire left side of his face swollen and infected, including his left eye. His jaw hanging open, unable to close his mouth at all. His mouth, nose and eye had dirt stuffed/stuck inside. Milo smelled pretty icky around his face from the infected injuries.
My BFF (Milo's mom) took him to the AES right away. Thank God the injuries are not fatal, but they are really, really, really bad. He is currently getting the care he needs with an amazing team at AES. The doctors are optomistic - Milo is being a very good patient.
The injuries are not consistent with a coyote attack or a car accident. 5 cats have gone missing in the neighboorhood over the last month. Milo is the only one that has come home. Milo has no other bodily injuries, no punture wounds, nothing that indicates the usual cat cases. It looks like the injuries are a result of a blunt force trauma specific to the left side of his face/skull/jaw.... probably from a person.
We are concerned, not only for Milo to pull thru, but also the neighboorhood pets to stay safe. If there is an animal abuser on a rampage, we want this person to be stopped. Please put together a neighborhood watch to keep an eye on your pets.
Most of you know I am a huge animal lover. Pets are part of the family. Milo is a part of my pet family and I will do all that I can to help give him the best chance at a healthy life. The ER is confident he will bounce back after the surgeries are completed.
I am asking for donations and support from my community to help my BFF and for Milo to get the surgery and care he absolutely needs. This kitty is SO deserving of a second chance at life. I couldn't bear for him to be put down when his injuries don't warrant that.
Any help you can offer, big or small, is appreciated. Even if you just share this link/post with others. My hope is that we can cover the entire cost of his medical care. I would love to take away my BFF's stress and Milo's pain.

4. How the funds will be spent: The funds will be spent to cover the Vet ER overnight stays, the daily care from the ER staff, and the two surgeries currently needed for him to have a good quality life. Surgery 1: clean out his wounds, wire his jaw together (at the chin), check out the damage to his left eye, put in a "permanent" feeding tube (he will be feeding this way for several weeks). Surgery 2: reconstruct Milo's split palate so he will be able to eat in the future on his own. Explore the mutliple fractures in his jaw/skull and asses any other damage or surgeries he may need in addition to the two now.
**Milo DOES need 3rd surgery for the multiple fractures found in his mandible/jaw during the 2nd surgery that happened today 9/28.
