Milo Maurer

Please help us in raising money for Milo Maurer. Milo recently suffered a severe head injury earlier this week. He is currently in the ICU, in a medically induced coma to bring down the swelling in his brain after coding twice this morning. He suffered an occipital skull fracture and is currently battling hemorrhaging, swelling and lesions. 

We were just with Milo in Ojai during the week of the Fourth of July, so this all feels very surreal. Milo is one of the most amazing teenagers I’ve ever met. He loves kids, loves to be a coach and a leader. He leads by example through excellence, respect and active listening. While together, he shared his hopes and dreams for his future as he looked to his college opportunities. We were hoping he would stay with us as he checked out Berkeley as one of his options.

Milo is a stunningly unique kid. He is compassionate, kind, thoughtful, respectful, patient, intelligent and articulate. He patiently played with Harrison and Georgie all week long as they longed to be in his presence. We want to do whatever we possibly can to help him recover. 

We would like to raise funds to help his mom cover the costs of his hospital stay and ensure a successful recovery from the trauma to his brain. Every dollar will help, so please, if you can, please pass up your weekly dinner out or coffee, and help Amy Jo and Milo maneuver through some of the financial challenges this difficult time brings. 

We hope to lighten any load AJ may face so she can focus on the health and recovery  of precious Milo.
