9000 Kids A Day Are Being Sextorted in the U.S.

OVERVIEW:

• 1 in 5 U.S. teenagers say they have received an unwanted sexual solicitation via the internet
• 9000 kids a day are sextorted (blackmailed with an illicit photo or video) in the U.S.
• 58% of these kids will meet with the predator in an attempt to recover their images

THIS DOES NOT HAVE TO HAPPEN!

We know if you educate teenagers about how the internet works and where illicit photos go when they hit “send,” they will listen. We know this because Million Kids has been educating kids and parents about sexual exploitation for over ten years. We need your help to make a documentary that will be provided FREE to every school in America (and to parents too!).

PLEASE DONATE TODAY TO SAVE KIDS FROM TRAUMA THAT COULD LAST A LIFETIME!

MORE DETAILS:

OUR CHILDREN ARE AT GREAT RISK. No one saw this coming. And now it's here... in epidemic proportions. According to the Center for Disease Control, 18,000 kids per day are exchanging naked photos on the Internet. Of that number, 9,000 per day are being BLACKMAILED by predatory individuals and a staggering 58% of those kids will MEET with the predator in an attempt to get the photo back.

THIS DOES NOT HAVE TO HAPPEN. Million Kids is making a professional documentary for FREE distribution to every school in America. The documentary warns and educates children, teachers, parents and grandparents to the threat. It provides vital information we all need to know BEFORE our children are set loose on the Internet.

BUT WE NEED YOUR HELP TO FUND THE DOCUMENTARY.

The total budget for the documentary is $80,000. This $25,000 will start the ball rolling and we have a matching grant that will double the amount we are raising here, up to a total of $40,000. Please help us take advantage of this matching grant. The wellbeing of thousands and thousands of America's children is at stake.

The FBI says there are over a million child predators on line at any given time. Researchers say that 87% of teens sleep with their phone. That means, while you are sleeping, bad guys can access your children. One in five U.S. teenagers who regularly log on to the Internet say they have received an unwanted sexual solicitation via the Web. Solicitations were defined as requests to engage in sexual activities or sexual talk, or to give out personal sexual information. (only 25% of those told a parent).

This 55-minute documentary educates viewers to the realities of the World Wide Web. They learn where naked photos go when people hit "send." They see how thousands of kids each year are victimized through sextortion, social media exploitation, sex trafficking and child pornography. Real-life cases are discussed. It challenges our kids to take ownership and responsibility over their Internet usage. It is an urgently needed WAKE-UP CALL!

WE NEED TO ENLARGE THE MEGAPHONE in order for this message to go out freely and quickly to every teen in the U.S.

We cannot do this alone. We are asking you to make a life-changing donation to aid in the creation of this documentary. You can change a child’s life—your child, a grandchild, niece, nephew, or friend.
