Millies Run/Walk

The aim of the fundraiser is to raise funds to furnish Millie's newly renovated Sensory Room with very specialised equipment some of which will be tailored to suit Millie's needs. I suppose until you know a bit more about Millie its hard for you to understand exactly what Millie's needs are-
Millie’s is almost 9 years old. She is a very happy little girl who was diagnosed with autism when she was 3. Millie is completely non verbal. On a day to day basis Millie needs full time care. She has no sense of danger what so ever!

She needs constant supervision and assistance with all aspects of her daily life from her personal hygiene needs , eating drinking and toileting. She relies on her parents to assist her with all of these daily activities that most of us just take for granted .

The sensory room will allow Millie to regulate and provide her with a sense of safety and security within her own environment. This therapeutic space will  provide comfort and stability as she develops and grows. Furthermore it will offer her parents and siblings the contentment and peace of mind knowing that Millie is safe and happy with them in her home .
