Millerhurst farm tragedy
The Millerhurst farm , is a historical family farm down the road from our country house in Columbia County NY. It suffered a devestAting fire this last Sunday evening. The photo above is of Mike Miller by the remains of his farm . The family lost the majority of their milk cows as the fire burned down their barn and the cows were trapped inside. Only one cow made it out. Her name is Glow. We would like to send our love, prayers and support to our neighbors to help rebuild their livelihood and feel our care and live wrapped around them at this time. Please donate what you can.+ Read More

This is Mike Miller by the remains of his farm. Tonight there was a beautiful separate fund raiser for the Millers In an outdoor tent with amazing food donated from all over the Hudson valley. There were 4 paintings auctioned off of Glow. The one cow that made it out of the barn alive. Mike Miller Gave a profound thank you and heartfelt share of the pain and suffering his family has been through including the lost of his son who died in a snow mobile accident some years ago. His son was meant to take over the farm. His father died shortly after his son. The family felt the grandfather Had died of a broken heart. Mike shared how after the two deaths of his loved ones he was having a hard time moving forward in life until he met a young girl at the Dutchess County fair who had both of her legs amputed but keep persevering. She ultimately got prosetetics. He decided if she can do so can I. He thanked her for her inspiration. He also thanks all of you for yours. Mike and family continue to be so overwhelmed and grateful for all that you have given. Mike kept wiping away the tears in his eyes tonight. Mikes Grandaughters name is Hope and so we all believe and have faith that the Millers will continue to move through this tragedy with all our love and support.
