34542232_1542265176403492_r.jpegMiles Jacob has not been feeling well, not eating or drinking and collapsed tonight. We are raising money to be able to run some tests on him to see what the cause could be.

Miles is a philanthropic dog and has raised money for military k9s, animal shelters and other organizations. He has used his platform to do good and spread love. He has been able to bring joy to thousands and we are humbly asking to have his faithful followers to come together and help us in our time of need. We are so grateful for all of you, but right now we are unable to afford to have tests run to find out the cause of his behavior.

It is with a heavy heart that I share that my baby Miles Jacob has passed. He fought hard but the tumor was too much for him to overcome. I will share more details later but right now I ask to respect our family and allow us time. I’m not sure when I will update but I will when the time is right. In honor of Miles and the legacy he leaves, I kindly ask everyone to go and do a good deed whether for animal or human. We love every single one of you and Miles would want his life to be celebrated and not mourned because he brought so much joy to everyone he came into contact with whether in person or online.

This is a proud radiation graduate right here! He is ready to continue his journey of fighting this brain tumor with your help and the help of many people who love and care for him. We have another doctor appointment with his oncologist next week to follow up and see how his progress is going. He is still taking medications to help with his brain being affected by the tumor. Miles cannot be left alone as he gets stuck in small cracks, corners or crevices. He is unable to back up still due to his condition so can only move forward which raises issues when he gets stuck. He is unable to lay down on his own so we need to help him rest or sleep. He is not back to his normal self, but we have to have patience and hope and know that we will help him get there. We thank you for continuing to share his story in order for him to get the treatments he needs to fight this battle. He may not be here today without the help of all for donating and sharing his story. We love each and every one of you. Miles LOVES you and let’s keep sharing so he can continue his path to #BeatCancer!

This is Miles before his last radiation appointment this morning. :)

Miles last radiation appointment went well today. His appetite has returned and he seems to be making up for missed meals with how hungry he is. The purpose of the radiation was to stop the brain tumor grown and hopefully reduce it in size. We do not yet know if it worked but we have noticed an improvement in his behavior. We will find out tomorrow which medications he will need to continue due to the presence of the tumor. Due to the tumor, he will more than likely be on medications for the remainder of his life.

Despite Miles pleasant disposition in this photo, understand the road to recovery has just begun as we are still needing to have him relearn balancing as well as re-train him on using the bathroom. He wears diapers indoors and last night he spent over an hour going in a circle at around 3:45 am. We are adjusting to having a special needs pup who has a whole new set of needs that we are not used to. We are hopeful that he will continue to improve and be an example for other dogs but more importantly be a beacon of hope to other dog parents who experience such a sudden and terminal diagnosis for their pup.

Please continue to share his story as the unexpected expenses from his first radiation treatment had resulted in more costs than what was originally raised. We could not be helping Miles in this capacity without all of you contributing, from the smallest donation to the largest, they have all made a difference. We love each and every one of you and Miles smiles today because of you!

Miles is coming home after his second treatment of radiation and he did well. Tomorrow he will be going in for his last appointment and I cannot begin to thank everyone for contributing to help him fight the brain tumor and be able to give him a shot to live. His behavior seems to be slightly improved from when he first began treatments. We are hopeful the last treatment goes successfully and there are no complications. Please continue sharing his story as it helps cover the unexpected costs that occurred after his treatment. Miles loves and thanks each and every one of you for such an amazing amount of kindness and support.
