I'm RUNNING ACROSS AMERICA to raise money for Challenged Athletes Foundation :)
In short, Challenged Athletes Foundation (CAF) is the answer to many prayers. It provides opportunities and support to people with physical challenges, so they can pursue an active lifestyle through physical activity and competitive athletics. In 2017, CAF distributed 2,448 grants; the youngest grantee was 5 years old, and the oldest was 83. The CAF vision is to:
● Be a recognized leader in a movement through which physically challenged athletes are accepted and respected at the same level as able-bodied athletes
● Have a great and significant impact on each physically challenged athlete served
● Reach out to the physically challenged community by providing inspiration, awareness and mentoring
CAF gives the athletic opportunity to those who want and need it most. I am beyond stoked to be raising money for them! I appreciate all of the support I have gotten so far – y’all are awesome! Of course my main priority is to raise money for CAF, but I also need a bit of dough myself to make it all happen. I want this run across America to be as successful as it possibly can- you probably aren’t available to run along with me, but there is a way you can be there with me in spirit – that is to help underwrite the costs associated with a challenge of this magnitude!
To put things into perspective:
– One day: $300
– One week: $2,100
– One month: $9,300
