Mikeplivinfree Following The Dream

My Name is Mike Poisel.

I'm making America Great Again by riding my bicycle across it. From Chicago to Portland, OR, then flying to Portland Maine, and then riding back to Chicago.

This has been a dream of mine for a long time but I was always afraid of the risk.  With most of the things in my life falling in line there was only one thing that was in the way...a job that I know I couldn't get the time off from.  So I've decided to take a leap of faith and follow my dream. To challenge myself, to meet new people, to experience new things at a pace that is possible to take it all in, and to hopefully become a better person from it.

I will be using this money to stay alive, to buy food, bike parts as necessary, and to get back on my feet when I fulfill this dream

These funds will really help me accomplish this goal, as I will clearly not be working as I ride.

...and now some words from a friend

Hello friends, supporters, fans, and admirers of Mike Poisel (aka Mike P., Pittsburgh Mike, and other general terms of endearment).  I am writing to encourage all who have pondered the thought - "What can I do to help this fine fella?"  Think no more.  A simple donation to Mike's gofundme page can help our pal in his journey across America.

I think I speak for most, when I say that this epic road trip on two wheels is something we all have expressed particular envy for.  If I had dollar.  Scratch that.  If Mike had a dollar for every person who echoed the same sentiment - "I'm so jealous, I wish I was able to do something that bad-ass!", he would really be in great shape to fully realize this dream of his to its fullest financial potential.

I know that Mike has put a lot of things on hold in his life, and invested a tremendous amount of faith in his own abilities, resourcefulness, and unwavering optimism.  As a close friend and someone who cares a great deal for him, I would like spread the word for his cause and help him to maintain his optimism during this life-changing event.  His loyalty as a friend; whether it's sharing a beer and a story, giving advice on a relationship, comiserating about family hardship, or just thoughtfully listening when you need an ear, has been more than enough reason for me, and probably most, to champion this cause of his.

Please give a little or a lot, whatever you think you can do.  It will help so much and allow Mike the opportunity to keep himself on his feet and you and I the chance to live vicariously and more confidently through his words, photos, and tales.

I'm waiting for this story with the greatest anticipation.  Aren't you?
