Mike Langston - Medical Help!

Donation protected

In October, Mike Langston was told that he had a kidney stone.  He didn't.  It was an aneurysm in his lower aorta and was so serious, he had to be airlifted to a hospital.  At Duke,  he had a heart attack, a stroke, and multiple heart stoppages - all within one week.  Next came ICU delirium and, one after another, new diagnoses, new prognoses, and ever changing information and treatment plans.

Minette (his wife) fought to bring Mike home but since then it has been one emergency after another - frantic admissions to the hospital; in and out of doctors' offices.  While having to find a job to bring in an income, Minette has also taken full responsibility for Mike's diet, medications, breathing, eating, sleeping, and every other aspect of his care while at home.  She is his caregiver and his unfailing advocate.

Today, once again, Mike is in an emergency situation.  He will need dialysis very soon and then a stent in the bottom left side of his heart.  He also needs a stent in the top artery of his heart but his cardiologist is not certain that it will be enough.  It may require bypass surgery .  Mike is scared.  Minette is scared.  Insurance is and has been an ever changing and stress inducing issue.  Right now it has been reinstated but with a huge deductable that they cannot afford.  No matter what, Minette will have to temporarily stop working to be by Mike's side through the dialysis and surgery.

These proud and hard working people do not ask for help but they need it.  I'm asking for them.  Please help in any way that you can.  They have been through so much and are searching for one more miracle.
