Mike Hutchinson - Deuel Co Deputy

Mike Hutchinson, a husband, father, son, brother, grandpa, veteran, and 27 year law enforcement officer was shot 4 times on December 3rd, 2015, in the line of duty. He lost his spleen, greater than 60% of both his small and large intestines, some of his liver, loss of 50% of kidney function, short-term memory, and much more. He suffers from PTSD which only exacerbates his short-term memory issues. He is permanently limited on his strength abilities, as he has a lifetime lifting restriction of 30 lbs. He fights everyday to receive the 2/3's of his normal pay from Worker's Compensation Insurance and to get the medical care he is due. On top of losing 1/3 of his regular paycheck, our Mother has lost her job as a result of requiring adequate time off to attend appointments.
