Michelle Vaughn, 46 yr old single mother of Gavin 17 and Mara 13, suffered a major stroke while driving home from Florida on March 31 She was lifelined by helicopter from Elizabethtown KY to the University of Louisville Hospital where she underwent immediate surgery, removing a blood clot in the carotid artery and attempt to stop brain bleed. Michelle has paralysis on her left side. On Wednesday April 3, she had another emergent surgery to relieve pressure due to swelling and bleeding. The Drs have no word on how long Michelle will be in the hospital but have made it clear that she will be going to a skilled rehab center for intense therapy. She has a long road to recovery. This family has a strong faith in God and appreciates any and all prayers and financial assistance. Thank you and God Bless You. I’m Toni Wilson-Taylor. Michelle’s mother, Suzi Hine is my best friend & “chosen”-sister! Her family is my family and my family is her family. I will be writing Suz checks for the GoFundMe funds so she can take care of Michelle and her children’s needs financially. Every dollar is much appreciated and will go directly to this beautiful family’s needs. Bless you❤️❤️ #MichelleStrong

MichelleStrong update: Michelle is making progress. The plan is to have her transferred to Rehab Hospital Indianapolis hopefully first part of the week. At this time she is still in ICU at university Hospital Louisville. Yesterday she had a test on her heart to make sure the blood clot didn’t originate in the heart. And Hallelujah her heart is healthy. Suz and family very much appreciate the continued prayers

MichelleStrong update: Today Michelle had physical therapy and worked hard. She has a small amount of feeling returning. Please pray on this. The swelling is beginning to go down. She will have another procedure today and if all goes well she May be moved off the ICU unit in next couple days!! Her mother Suz is staying with her round the clock; so please pray for her strength, stamina, health and comfort also. The ICU Dr pulled Suz aside today to tell her what an awesome job she is doing by working with Michelle’s arm and leg to help return feeling and movement. And He said she has an amazing family and support system and knows this is a huge part of Michelle’s recovery. Keep Gavin, Mara and Holly and her Dad John also close in prayer. This family is so blessed by all your prayers and awesome support. You all Rock! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
