Michelle's surgery and support

Meet Michelle and her mom, Maria.  They are the two in the photo.  They are the reason for this campaign.  Michelle has had innumerable surgeries in her short 23 year life.  Her mom, Maria, has been with her every step of the way.  Today, unfortunately, Michelle is in a fight for her very life.  She has been in the ICU for well over a month.  Doctors do not know the cause.  Maria works extremely hard; she has a full-time job and works a second part-time job.  It is heartbreaking to see them.  They are both so incredibly exhausted.  Maria needs to be at the hospital with her daughter, but without working, she cannot provide for them both.  She is deeply torn between the two demands.  Michelle needs to be focused on her recovery, but her concern for her mom is overwhelming to her.  She always assumed she would be the one taking care of her mother by now. 

It is my sincere wish that those of you reading this will reach out to them by donating to this fund.  It would take a tremendous load off of both of them.  Maria will be able to pay her bills, and still spend time with her daughter.  The funds are needed desperately, and as soon as humanly possible.  I have known these precious people since Michelle was six years old.  I truly hope that I  can help in some small way to relieve at least part of this burden, but I cannot do it alone.
