Michaela's Medical Recovery

Our amazing friend and local Austin neighbor was caught up in the Las Vegas shooting on October 1st.  As she was trying to flee, she was shot in the back. Her life was saved by an incredible stranger who carried her to safety and stayed with her until the paramedics were able to  reach her. After undergoing surgery, she is currently recovering in a Las Vegas hospital. 

Michaela is a mom to 2 young girls under 5. She is a long way from home and facing an unknown future of recovery and rehabilitation, as well as mounting medical expenses and her fiancé not being able to work while they are Las Vegas.  

We are trying to provide financial help so they can focus on her recovery. Anything you  can donate will help this amazing family on their path to healing after this unimaginable trauma.

100% of the money raised through this campaign will go Michaela and her partner Greg to help with her recovery; including medical bills,  travel and accommodation expenses for her family to be close to her while she is away from home, loss of earnings during her recovery, and the cost of returning Michaela to Austin when she is well enough. The money will be withdrawn directly by Michaela and her fiance, Greg.
