Michael's APD India 2020 Fundraising Page
Donation protected
Hi everyone,
I've been fortunate enough to be chosen to volunteer in India as a part of the partnership Trinity High School has with the Association of People with Disabilities (APD). My trip will take place for two weeks in June of next year and I will be travelling with a group from Trinity and pupils from other schools also involved with the charity.
APD is an organisation which has been supporting those with disabilities in the Karnataka region of India for 60 years. There are many programmes which take place within the charity, such as the APD School, Horticulture Centre and Early Intervention Centre. Additionally, they have branched out to the states of Bijapur and Davengere.
During my trip I will be working side by side with many of those whose lives are positively affected every day by APD, across a range of projects, some of which are shown in the video.
I will be fundraising throughout the year to fund my trip to India. My first step will be running the Paisley 10k on the 18th August. I will also be taking part in events within school and climbing Ben Lomond with my friends from Trinity.
I will keep you posted by continuing to update this page throughout the year with details of other activities I will be involved in. Any donations would be greatly appreciated.
Many thanks,
Michael
