Mike Stansbery is a man of faith and family. Right now he and his family is undergoing a terrible battle and need our help. Mike's wife, Tammy, has been battling cancer for the last five years. We need to help support Mike and Tammy's brave fight against this disease. Your donation will be used to support Mike and his family in their time of need. Any amount is greatly appreciated.
Here is a little background about this incredible family. Mike is a former marine, having been enlisted for six years. His son, Michael Jr. followed in his father's footsteps of defending our country and enlisted in the army in 2007. Michael Jr. made the ultimate sacrifice for his country, losing his life in Afghanistan on July 30, 2010. Michael Jr. was awarded the purple heart and bronze star for his actions on the battlefield. He is buried in Arlington National Cemetery and his grave received global fame when Prince Harry, on a visit to the cemetery, placed a wreath and a handwritten note on his grave. There is a bridge in his honor in the Stansbery's hometown of Mt. Juliet, Tennessee. Mike also has a daughter, Michelle who is a nurse in Cookeville, Tennessee. Mike and Tammy visit Michelle and her new husband, Austin, as often as possible.

The Stansbery's are members at the Cook's United Methodist church; and Mike is active in the veteran community. He has participated in the Wreaths Across America events for the last three years. This year was especially memorable as he and Tammy were chosen to lay a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown soldier at Arlington National Cemetery.
Not only is Mike faithful to his country and his family, he is a hard worker and a great friend to many. Thank you for your support of the Stansbery family!
