Micah Isabelle Taylor, born May 13, has spent 5 of her first ten days at Children's Hospital of Los Angeles. An incredible team of physicians have conducted a myriad of testing and have found that her brain is not fully developed and was causing her to have seizures. They have explained that it will impact her cognitive and motor development, but not much more about her future is known as of now.
They expect to be at the hospital until at least next week, and then will continue to have out patient testing and follow-up appointments.
Paige and Caleb and their extended families have been so blessed thus far by the outpouring of prayers and love they've received. Will you join me in financially supporting them on this journey? We believe that they do not need to be burdened by hospital bills during this time and that our community can raise up and surround them with our love made tangible.
Paige and Caleb are spending this time leaning into their calling as Micah's parents, and dwelling on Psalm 18.... "For it is you who light my lamp; the Lord my God lightens my darkness. For by you I can run against a troop, and by my God I can leap over a wall. This God-- His way if perfect; the word of the Lord proves true; He is a shield for all those who take refuge in Him... He made my feet like the feet of a deer and set me secure on the heights. He trains my hands for war, so that my arms can bend a bow of bronze. You have given me the shield of your salvation, and your gentleness made me great. You gave a wide place for my steps under me, and my feet did not slip." Amen!
