MGG Fights Back
Our Dearest family and friends, 2017 has been a real test of fatih for our Garcia family. Once again we find ourselves tested and facing down the enemy many of us are familiar with, cancer. In May, our father, grandpa, brother, uncle, son was diagnosed with squamous cell carcinoma throat cancer. We, his daughters, Juli, Jill and Jami humbly come before whosoever reads this message asking first for your prayers. Secondly, for any financial assistance you may feel led to donate for Dad's medical and travel expenses. All of his Doctor's are located in Hutchinson, KS and he will be making the trip daily for 8 weeks. On June 13th Dad will have surgery for placement of a port-a-cath and feeding tube. June 19th is the target date to begin Chemotherapy and Radiation. Around week 3 of treatment eating and swallowing will start to become extremely difficult. Radiation therapy will be daily Monday- Friday. Chemo will be an all day appointment on Mondays only. There may come a time when staying at a hotel in Hutchinson may be a better option for Dad's comfort rather than driving back and forth. That would just be another expense.
Praise God the doctor's feel very confident that this cancer is and will be cured! It is contained to just the left side of his thoat and neck. It has NOT spread!
As cliche as it sounds, every little bit does help. And as family, we thank you, each of you, who had prayed, helped out, will help, and donated. We stand on the promise of complete healing!
