The Meyer Rosoff Tzedakah Fund

Donation protected
Hello,

Meyer just turned 60! In celebration of this significant birthday, we ask that you please think about making a donation to the Meyer Rosoff Tzedakah Fund. Thanks to everyone who made this campaign a success last year, we raised more than $2,000 goal for Meyer! He is so grateful to everyone and truly relies on the kindness of others. Recently laid off and unable to find work, Meyer is  gets just $720 per year from the state of Connecticut--not nearly enough for anyone to live on comfortably.

I was tutor at Benhaven, a group home in North Haven, Connecticut that supports adults with autism. For two years now, I  tutored Meyer, a 60 year old who is an engaging and verbal member of the house. Meyer is passionate about so many things in life including Spanish, which is what I tutor him in. Unfortunately, Meyer just recently lost his job of many years and he has no family to support him financially. This is why I am appealing to you today.

Just like everyone else, Meyer needs money to spend on the simple things in life, but the state of Connecticut only grants Meyer $60.00 per month. This paltry sum of $720 per year is nowhere near the amount that a single person could comfortably live on. Because of his situation, Meyer is almost fully financially reliant on his network of friends that he has had for so long. However, this network is not extremely large and we want to expand his opportunity through this site.

Meyer is an unforgettable character who appreciates all the generosity that comes his way. The dollars donated will go to simple pleasures such as money for a dinner outing, a trip to Krauzers after the YMCA for a beverage, and money for his modest but beloved vacation to Vermont. These are everyday things that many of us take for granted, but are sources of great joy in Meyer’s life. Can you please help contribute to Meyer’s GoFundMe campaign? Any small amount would make a big contribution to his quality of life.

Thank you.

Proceeds will go to the “Meyer Rosoff Tzedakah Fund,” a special needs trust.

Meyer’s birthday is February 2nd—he turned 60 years old!!  :)
