Hurricane María Relief for Family

Where to start? Well, 3 days before Hurricane Irma, on Sept. 3rd, my wife fell while horseback riding and broke her pelvis. She's a psychologist with a private office and hasn't been able to work since. Then came Hurricane Irma: we were left with no power for 5 days. I'm also a private contractor, was able to work for a couple of days, and then Hurricane Maria hit us. Haven't been able to work since.
No power, no water for several days. Not able to work, not able to generate money. On Sept. 28, 2017, we were able to fly out to Los Angeles to stay with family, but we left everything behind: house, cars, our belongings, and a lot of debt. We are social refugees, staying with family here, searching for jobs, and we don't want to drain our family members' bank account while we live with them here.
What motivated us to create this fund was that we received calls from many friends and family who want to help. I think this is the best way. Any monetary help you can provide will be greatly appreciated. If you have contacts here that can help us get jobs (wife is a clinical psychologist with 11yrs of experience, I'm a marketing and advertising expert with 19yrs of experience), please send us their contact info.
Also, I want to let you know that we are not sitting on our b*tts over here. I'm also organizing in LA a fundraising fitness event for Hurricane Maria relief. I need to help my Island from over here.
