Hi my name is Adriana and the woman in the above picture is my mother. She is the amazing woman who worked day in and day out to send us to school, put food on the table, and a roof over our heads. Unfortunately, at a young age she developed rheumatoid arthritis and had to stop working due to the deformity of her hands. Two years ago she had a life saving surgery on her C1 and C2 cervical bones which was a result of a complication of her rheumatoid arthritis.
On Tuesday September 19, 2017 there was an earthquake of magnitude 7.1 in Puebla, Mexico where both my parents were visiting family. My mother was unfortunate and suffered a hip fracture when the earthquake hit. She spent 3 days in bed in agonizing pain, unable to go to a hospital as there were none in the small town they were in. With the chaos after the earthquake my brother and I were able to move her flight up to come home to have surgery. Fortunately, she is now home recovering. My family and I are still paying off the life saving surgery she had two years ago and with her recent surgery we are struggling to help pay off her medical bills.
I am reaching out to all who will be able to help our family cover part of the cost of her ER visit, surgery, ambulance transportation, medications, and visits to the doctor. Any donation helps and is very appreciated. Please share with family and friends so that we can reach our goal.

Hola, mi nombre es Adriana y la mujer en la foto de arriba es madre. Ella es una mujer increíble que trabajo día tras día para enviarnos a la escuela, alimentarnos, y tener un techo sobre nosotros. Desafortunadamente, a una edad temprana desarrolló artritis reumatoide y tuvo que dejar de trabajar debido a la deformidad de sus manos. Hace dos años tuvo una cirugía que le salvó la vida en donde sus huesos cervicales C1 y C2 fueron afectados como resultado de una complicación del artritis reumatoide.
El Martes 19 de Septiembre de 2017 hubo un terremoto de magnitud 7.1 en Puebla, México, donde mis padres visitaban a la familia. Mi madre fue desafortunada y sufrió una fractura de cadera cuando ocurrió el terremoto. Pasó 3 días en la cama con un dolor angustioso, no pudo ir a un hospital ya que no había ninguno en el pequeño pueblo en el que se encontraban. Con el caos posterior al terremoto, mi hermano y yo pudimos mover su vuelo para regresar a casa y tener la cirugía. Afortunadamente ahora está en casa recuperándose. Mi familia y yo todavía estamos pagando la cirugía que salvó su vida hace 2 años y con su cirugía reciente estamos luchando para ayudarla a pagar sus cuentas médicas.
Estoy contactando a todos los que podrán ayudar a nuestra familia a cubrir parte del costo de su visita a sala de emergencias, cirugía, transporte en ambulancia, medicamentos y visitas al médico.
