All are welcome. Meditators of every experience level are welcome to join the sit at any time between 8am -1pm on January 12th. Feel free to come and go (quietly) as you please.
All proceeds for this event, and the gofundme page supporting it, benefit Mazzoni Center’s PACTS program - a community-based program for Trans and gender non-conforming youth and their families in the Philadelphia region.
Those that attend the event are encouraged to make a donation (no amount is too small), but no one will be turned away for lack of funds.

Hello!
As many of y'all know, every year, for the past six years, I have sat on my meditation cushion for five hours,and practiced Metta, also known as LovingKindness , without getting up, in order to raise awareness and funds for a cause I care about. I call this the Mettathon!
This year, I am pleased to announce that I will be doubling the goal amount to Ten Thousand dollars, and raising funds for Mazzoni Center's PACTS Program.
PACTS is a community-based program for Trans and gender non-conforming youth and their families in the Philadelphia region. Through a collaborative approach - including medical care, social work, counseling and legal services - Mazzoni Center's PACTS program is able to provide the best possible care for clients. The members of the PACTS team work closely with each patient and family to form an extensive, personalized treatment plan.
I have witnessed the benefits of this groundbreaking program first-hand through volunteer efforts for PACTS events, as well as conversations with members of the PACTS team about the vital services they provide.
