Metro PCS Robbery Victim Fund

This past weekend our dear friend was closing the Metro PCS store when a robber came in through an unlocked back door. In an immediate and violent assault, Rick put up a fight for his life. The attacker proceeded to stab him 16 times, 9 of them to his face. His optical nerve was damaged, resulting in permanent loss of sight in one eye. By the grace of God, the knife broke, and the attacker grabbed cash and fled the scene, sparing Rick's life. He was able to call 911, but had minutes to spare as the EMS arrived.
He is recovering in the trauma unit at Shands Jacksonville, but will forever be traumatized by the cruel acts of this attack. No words can express the pain we feel for this wonderful, loving family. Their faith is strong and I have no doubt they are praying for the suspect of this violent crime. The suspect has been apprehended and charged with attempted murder and robbery.
This family will forever have physical, and emotional wounds. Rick has a long road to recovery and regain a portion of what life was like before this tragedy. We as the community can  help Rick and his family recover from the financial loss. The family has now lost a full time income and will have numerous medical and rehabilitation bills as a result of this senseless act. Please pray for Rick, his beautiful wife and their wonderful son.
