Messangan Agbozo's Funeral

Friends, we have the impossible task of saying goodbye to Messangan Christian Agbozo. He was genuine, caring, and always there for a friend in need. Everyone who knew him loved his amazing ability to lift others up during good and bad times. His smile and laugh were infectious.
His faith was unwavering. Recently he posted this beautiful thought:
"Be grateful. Not because everything is going well in your life. Be grateful for your pain and struggle. Every single person out there is struggling with something too. You are not cursed. We are just all different and cannot be going through the same situations. God loves all."
Messangan was a self-made man. He started from very humble beginnings in Togo, Africa. He worked (often full-time) while earning his degree in Civil Engineering. He moved to Louisiana this past June to start his first engineering job as a full-time employee at Kiewit.
I knew him for 6 years, and during that time he had such a huge impact on those around him and in his home country. He helped start a non-profit that collected over 5,000 articles of clothing to be distributed in Togo, Africa. He also helped create a local soccer community of over 150 people. Everyone lovingly called him "Messi."
As much as we are all hurting right now, his family needs our support to help with expenses. Please see below for information on services. If you knew Messangan, family was everything to him. This page has been set up to help alleviate their costs and to help support his mother, Adjoavi.
We met with the funeral home and cemeteries on Monday. Although expensive, the funeral in all will not be as much as initially thought. Any money raised over the cost of the funeral will help with travel expenses for his brothers to get here from Togo. Any money raised over that will go directly to his mom. His mom was completely dependent on him. This will help ensure she is taken care of. Again, thank you all so much.

Funds raised will go toward covering funeral expenses or any expenses involved with the accident. Any additional funds will go to support Messangan's mother.
