Community Piano Appeal

£1,785 of £15,000 goal

Raised by 27 people in 5 months
Our community concert grand piano is broken  - it was being moved and crashed to the floor as the legs fell off!

We now desperately need a replacement piano for our community music group and would be so grateful if anyone can help us raise funds towards this.

We are a small non-profit community music group in Speke, Liverpool and we currently don't have enough funds to do this by ourselves.   All of the members, adults, children in our choirs and audiences would benefit from any donations towards getting a piano.

Our piano (Bechstein) had been played at many live music events in Speke for the last 7 years - it is an essential part of our music family. The events we organise are an asset to the community and having a quality piano within the area is a wonderful legacy and asset for the future of live music which is so important.  Without the piano we will have to cancel our concerts.

Our next Summer concert is in 8 days time on Friday 6th July 2018. It is a major set back for us and we are racing against the clock to make sure we have a piano so that the concert and our planned future events can go ahead.

If you know of anyone who would be willing to 'save the day' and sponsor/support us please share this or contact us.

Thank you so much for all of your help in advance!

Thank you so much for all of your support for the Mersey Wave Community Piano appeal so far! We'd also like to say a big thank you to everyone who has helped to put the legs back on the piano and move it from the aisle of the church which is so much appreciated and a big help!

Update: A restorer is now going to assess what work needs doing to the piano in the longterm - all of the funds we are raising will go towards this or the cost of a new piano. We are going ahead with our Summer Concert on Friday 6th July 2018 7.30pm at St Ambrose Church Speke with an electronic keyboard and so looking forward to seeing you there! If you would like to donate and 'Name a Key' of the piano here's more information http://merseywavemusic.com/community-piano-appeal/

We will keep you updated!
