Mercedes's Surgery

Hi everyone!
I just wanted to share with you all a little information on Mercedes and why we need the extra help! Yesterday we had to make the decision as a barn family to help save Mercedes life. The owner of Mercedes made the decision to have her put down as surgery was not a affordable option. As I was standing there looking into Mercedes eyes as she is telling me how we must put her down over the phone, with tears rolling down my face, I thought to myself, there must be another way. There must be something I can do to help save her. Her coat is still shining and braid in her forelock from the show that she just competed in two days ago. Im
thinking, how could this be happening? She looks perfect to me and we have to put her down?
Thankfully, I was able to make a few calls. Mercedes wouldn’t have had the surgery yesterday if it weren’t for an amazing, most kind hearted, loving person who stepped in to help. The owner of Mercedes has given up ownership as she felt that she couldn’t provide the best for her.
So now here is the hard part. We still owe more money towards the hospital care and 10 day recovery for Mercedes. I know it may seem like a lot left, but maybe that extra $5 that went to a Starbucks drink could help go towards Mercedes care. We would greatly appreciate anything and we are so so thankful for the love and support from everyone.
