Mentee's Christmas

My name is Diamond Ragin I am 24 years old and I graduated from Florida A&M University in 2015. I currently have two mentees  Stanley and Zy'keria who attends a Elementary School in an area that has been identified by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development as a designated Promise Zone area.  Promise Zones are high poverty communities wherethe federal government partners with local leaders to increase economic activity, improve educational opportunities, leverage private investment, reduce violent crime, enhance public health and address other priorities identified by the community.  I mentor through the Ernie Sims Big H.I.T.S foundation's pilot program STARS Mentoring. I see my mentees atleast twice a week at school to assist with homework and once a month on a field trip with other mentors/mentees to the movies, football games, bowling etc. Honestly I have fallen in love with both of my mentees, beacuse they are teaching me how much I take for granted everyday. I am trying to raise money to give these kids a Christmas they deserve because they both are doing so well in school. Stanley has asked me for a dirt bike and shoes and Zykeria would like a tablet, the board game life, and  shoes. All donations will go towards my mentee's Christmas gifts.
