Solar Power For The Mens Shed TSV

Thunder Dan and theTownsville Mens Shed need your help!

The Townsville Mens Shed provides a safe and friendly environment where men of all ages can meet and have a chat and a cuppa, make new friends, share and learn new skills, contribute to the community and gain access to information on mens' health issues and available resources.

This not for profit  organisation gives men a sense of value and belonging and contributes to the community by way of projects and providing training and educational activities.

Thunder Dan and his World Record Attempt-

Sun Feb 11th, 7am - 11:30am at the Palmetum, Townsville

The incredible Thunder Dan, is raising money for the Mens Shed to put towards a solar power installation in their workshop.

In his efforts to raise money, "Thunder Dan" will be attempting to drive on the University road roundabout for 3 hours and 35 minutes, non stop!

We are inviting everyone to bring the family down to the Townsville Palmetum for breaky and a laugh, and to show your support for this local legend and the Townsville Mens Shed.

The guys from the Mens Shed will be firing up the BBQ at 7am, with snags and cold drinks on offer

Emma "The Bean Queen" will be there with her van, serving her famous coffee and delicous slushies.

Castles in the clouds are coming along and will be generously setting up a free jumping castle and some face painting for the kiddies.

The guys from TTT 103.9fm  will also be down there, broadcasting live from the Palmetum!

We want as many people as we can to come down and get behind this great cause, Thanks for your support everyone, we look forward to seeing you guys down there!

If you can spare a couple of dollars and would like to support Thunder Dan and the TMS, we will be accepting donations on the day also

***There will be NO lane closures or blockages. Traffic will not be impeded in any way, and will be able to flow as normal. You wont even notice he is on the roundabout***
